Houston-based Cheniere Energy recently announced that they are beginning their expansion in Corpus Christi. Their liquified natural gas export terminal in Corpus Christi will have a train , otherwise known as an LNG processing unit, added to the facility.
BHGE supplied turbines and compressors for the first two LNG processing units currently in Corpus Christi, and they will supply turbines and compressors for the new units as well.
“Our technology provides the necessary refrigeration gas needed to chill the natural gas into liquid form for transportation. This award builds on the unparalleled technology experience and partnership established between Cheniere, Bechtel, and BHGE,” said Rod Christie, president, and CEO of Turbomachinery & Process Solutions for BHGE in a recent press release.
