DCT PetroPort Industrial Park and Houston-based Leader Gasket Technologies are expected to move into the Port Houston-area industrial park that is owned by DCT Industrial Trust Inc. The move is expected as soon as within the next several weeks.
Petrochemical Growth and Significant Projects
“The city’s petrochemical industry is undoubtedly in growth-mode, and with several significant projects set to come online in the coming years,” said the Houston Business Journal.
Working with Land-Constrained Submarkets
Petrochemical growth remains strong. That being said, Port Houston remains one of the city’s most land-constrained submarkets.
“In my 15-year development career, I’ve encountered only one site that rivals the complexity of the PetroPort project,” said Justin Bennett, Senior Vice President at DCT. “As with any speculative project, there were certainly peaks and valleys.”
